Who we are

This website is operated by Viaduct Fire Ltd, an electrical contractor based in Stockport, UK. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at info@viaductfire.co.uk.

The contact form

When you submit the contact form on this site, the details you enter (name, email, phone number if given, service selected, and your message) are sent to us using a third-party form service, Formspree, Inc., which delivers the submission to our inbox by email. Formspree processes this data solely to relay it to us and does not use it for any other purpose. We use the information you submit only to respond to your enquiry — we don't add you to a mailing list or share it with anyone else.

The client portal (Digital Logbook)

If you're a customer, we may give you — and, if you'd like, other people at your company — a login to our Digital Logbook client portal, where you can view your certificates, quotes, invoices, RAMS documents and service history, and log routine checks or faults yourself. To provide this we hold your name and email address (used to set up your login), your company's site address and any other contact details on file, and the records generated through our work together — including certificates, which may include site photos and an on-screen signature, quotes, invoices, RAMS documents, other documents we or you upload, and any logbook entries submitted through the portal. More than one person at your company can have their own separate login; each login only ever sees records belonging to your company.

Portal data is hosted using Supabase, a database and account-management platform, on servers in Paris, France (within the EU) — outside the UK, though within the European Economic Area. Supabase processes this data on our behalf under its own security and data-handling terms and doesn't use it for its own purposes. If we stop working with you and remove your company from our active customer list, your records are kept in an archive for 6 months (in case you need something from them, or the relationship resumes), after which they become eligible for permanent deletion.

Cookies & analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are read most and roughly how people found us. Google Analytics works by placing a cookie in your browser, but that cookie is not set until you actively accept it via the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or simply close the banner, no analytics cookie is set and you can use the site fully either way.

You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page. Google may process this data on servers outside the UK; Google's own privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Fonts

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font involves your browser making a request to Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. Google's font-serving infrastructure does not use this data for tracking or advertising purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To exercise any of these rights, email info@viaductfire.co.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time as the site or portal changes. Any changes will be posted on this page, along with an updated "Last updated" date above.
